A New Project
Back up to 7 pieces owed.
On Sunday I’d like to have cut the number of pieces owed down to 5. That is my new goal, 5 pieces owed by Sunday. This is very doable, it just requires me to actually pluck out the pieces and post them!
In other news I’m absolutely terrible at my audiobook stuff. I still haven’t done any of that, and I know I do NOT want to go back to Spoiled Rotten. I need to something different. I can’t continue doing this, but I’m not really sure how to improve. Just keep pushing?
Well we’ll see if I can get some kind of improvement. In the meantime I’ve a new project to work on. My roommates, both of them, want to work on a video game together, and I’ve been given carte blanche on the story and narration. There’s ‘no pressure’ but at the same time I feel the pressure. I want this. I want to write a story and have it become a game.
However I have no ideas. The stories I’ve considered already have their media forms determined, whether that’s animation or a book. I need to come up with something that can work for a video game, and preferably something simple. I know I have a tendency to make my stories grow, bloom, and expand beyond their initial scope. I don’t want to expand endlessly with this, since there’s more than just me, and I want us to be able to finish this.
This could be the beginning of my multimedia Empire, the Imperium Corp, and I have no intention of letting this moment slip away. I just need an idea. I guess that’s going to be my goal for tomorrow. Tomorrow for 20-30 minuets I’m going to be in the living room and I’m going to try brainstorming and figuring out the bare bones of what could be our game.
